EMI Classics grijpt de 150tigste verjaardag van Frederick Delius (1862-1934) aan om groots uit te pakken met deze overzichtsbox. Tussen 1929 en 1999 zijn talloze opnamen van deze Britse componist gemaakt. Een grote rol is weggelegd voor pianist en dirigent Sir Thomas Beecham, die een belangrijke stempel op het Engelse muziekleven van voor de oorlog drukte, bleef altijd een warm pleitbezorger van Delius muziek.
