Natuurlijk voor de slotavond, maar sinds 2010 ook die voor optredens van het door John Wilson zelf samengestelde orkest dat klassieke Broadway-hits nieuw leven inblaast. Het programma met werken van Rodgers & Hammerstein was zelfs zo’n doorslaggevend succes, dat een cd-registratie niet uit kon blijven. In de Abbey Road studio krijgen Wilson en zijn orkest hulp van onder andere Sierra Boggess en Joyce DiDonato en klassiekers als I’m gonna wash that man right outa my hair en I have confidence (uit de Sound of Music) zijn simpelweg onweerstaanbaar en maken duidelijk dat huidige musicalcomponisten veel kunnen leren van dit illustere duo uit de vorige eeuw.
