In 1849 trok John Parry met een groep kolonisten uit Wales naar de Great Salt Lake Valley, waar de zinggrage Welshman de basis legden voor de Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Dit 360 leden tellende koor – het grootste koor in Amerika – koestert nog altijd hun wortels met Wales. Tien jaar na hun eerste samenwerking heeft de uit Wales afkomstige bas-bariton Bryn Terfel een prachtig album met het koor opgenomen. Uiteraard ontbreekt de voor Welshman beroemde Cwm Rhondda niet.
