Goed, er is ook zo’n concert in Wenen. Met grote namen, gefilmd ballet en op een enkele verrassing na de bekende walsen. Prima om de lichte hoofdpijn van de oudejaarsavond mee te verdrijven, maar het ware avontuur op de eerste dag van het jaar komt al jaren van het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble. Met nieuwe muziek, frisse arrangementen, aanstormend talent, humor en vakmanschap is elk nieuwsjaarsconcert van het NBE een waar feest. De eerste januari van dit jaar was dat niet anders, zo kunnen de thuisblijvers nu ook op cd horen én op de bijgevoegde dvd zien, waarop de poëziefragmenten niet zijn geknipt. Ook geschikt voor het voorjaar.

These were presented at the New Year's Concert of the Netherlands Wind Ensemble. Still a little bleary-eyed from the previous night's New Year's Eve celebrations, the audience was treated to an exhilarating and stirring concert courtesy of talented young composers and musicians from all over the world. The NBE New Year's Concert is the best possible musical start to the new year and is now available on CD and DVD!
