BAND

Op Thanksgiving 1976 vond het beroemde Last Waltz concert van The Band plaats. In de Winterland in San Fransisco gaf de band haar afscheidsconcert en ze vroegen daarbij hulp van artiesten die ze in hun carrière waren tegen gekomen. Mede Canadezen Joni Mitchell en Neil Young (met een legendarische witte neus – decadentie vierde hoogtij backstage…), vroegere werkgever Ronnie Hawkins, mede Woodstock bewoner Van Morrison, grote voorbeeld Muddy Waters, Clapton, Dr. John en tenslotte natuurlijk Bob Dylan. Maar het waren de songs van The Band zelf die centraal stonden. Deze 4cd editie geeft een uitgebreide impressie van deze legendarische avond.
