ROELOFS, JORIS

Oorspronkelijk is hij bekend als saxofonist, maar Joris Roelofs heeft zich de afgelopen jaren vooral toegelegd op de basklarinet. Zijn trio bestaat verder uit Matt Penman (bas) en Ted Poor (drums). Op North Sea Jazz gaven ze vorig jaar een adembenemend optreden en dit is hun eerste plaat als trio, van avantgarde naar standards en weer terug.
