Music City eigenaar Ray Dobard voorzag begin jaren vijftig geen grote inkomsten uit de blues. De impact van deze opnamen waren dan ook niet bijzonder groot, maar zijn samen wel een fraaie dwarsdoorsnede van de muziek die in die tijd te horen was in de omgeving van San Francisco in de joints en clubs. Veelzijdigheid met scherpe instrumentals, jump blues en verleidelijke tracks als Alvin Smith's On My Way en Roland Mitchell’s Lazy Bones.
