TRANSPARENT SOUND

Formed in 1994 by Orson Bramley and Martin Brown, Transparent Sound became a quiet cornerstone of British machine music, bridging rave-tronics and Detroit-inspired futurism. Now based in Bristol and steered solely by Bramley, Transparent Sound arrives at a late-career highlight, eight tracks of crisp drum programming and shadowy melody. ‘Trauma Response’, ‘What Is Your Name’ and ‘Art Of Survival’ balance up the mood with hooded confidence, while two remixes widen the view: Maltese producer Acidulant with ‘Nurtural Oblivion’, and Ben Pest with the twisted ‘Static Boomerang’.
