Killah Priest’s cult debut Heavy Mental returns on cassette. Originally released in 1998 on Geffen/MCA, the album pairs Wu-affiliated production (incl. True Master, 4th Disciple, and Y-Kim) with Priest’s signature dense, theological and mythic lyricism. Features include “Cross My Heart” with GZA and Inspectah Deck, “If You Don’t Know” with Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and the monumental “B.I.B.L.E.” A landmark of late-’90s East Coast rap—dark, cinematic, and fiercely conceptual.
