PRINCE BUSTER

Prince Buster was one of the foundational figures in Jamaican music. His Blue Beat Hits refer to a prolific series of singles released on The Blue Beat Label, a name that eventually became synonymous with ska during the genre's formative years and remains closely associated with blue beat and ska to this day.

The tracks on this album include some of Prince Buster's most celebrated recordings and biggest Blue Beat hits, including Al Capone, One Step Beyond—famously covered by Madness as their signature song—Rough Rider, later covered by The Beat, and Enjoy It (Enjoy Yourself), also known as It's Later Than You Think, an enduring singalong anthem.

All tracks have been remastered from the original Blue Beat Label releases and are presented in the label's now-iconic Blue Beat packaging.
