‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ is misschien wel een van de meest hedendaagse uitingen van nihilisme. De danspunkers van Fat Dog zijn terug! Hoewel ze overduidelijk een dunne hond op hun albumcover hebben gebruikt, is dat niet de enige ‘fuck you’ van het album. “Let AI write a hit, I'm better dead and gone, This shit is getting old.” Ook deze uitspraak voelt als een ironische, dikke ‘fuck you’ naar de huidige muziekindustrie. ‘Go Fuck Yourself’ is melodischer en ‘mooier’ dan we van ze gewend zijn, een ontzettende earworm na een paar luisterbeurten. En ‘Shit Love’ gaat dan weer harder, met Prodigy-vibes. Je moet wel heel hard rocken als je de enige Engelse act bent die het voorprogramma van Kneecap mag spelen. Gelukkig gaan ze zelf ook nog touren, want live zijn ze natuurlijk het best. De honden van Fat Dog klinken dikker dan ooit. WOOF! (Lotte Hurkens)
