Compton gangsta rap classic ‘187 Ride By’ makes its vinyl debut after 30+ years. Tweedy Bird Loc’s legendary, Eazy-E-dissing masterpiece is lovingly reissued as a deluxe, 2-LP gatefold package. Before co-founding the infamous Bloods & Crips project with Ronnie Phillips, Compton Crip Richard Johnson—aka Tweedy Bird Loc—dropped a fierce, unapologetic bomb onto the gangsta rap scene. ‘187 Ride By’ remains a highly prized, unfiltered look into the Compton street landscape and the bitter rivalry between Tweedy and Eazy-E. This inaugural vinyl pressing is engineered across two slates—aptly titled ‘diss1’ and ‘diss 2’— cut loud to fully unleash Tweedy’s vicious, historic attacks on rival artists Eazy-E, Kokane, and MC Tim Dog. Housed in a striking, high-quality gatefold sleeve, complete with an exclusive pull-out poster and an insightful written appraisal of the album’s legacy. Packed with guest appearances from Big D Mark, Notorious Joe, Nini X, The Underworld Connection, and Battlecat. Mastered in the Netherlands by The Source.
