Met enige regelmaat presenteert Johan Derksen in het programma Voetbal International goede artiesten uit Engeland of Amerika en ook huisband Danny Vera was een idee van Johan Derksen. Minder mensen hebben echter ‘Derksen On The Road’ gezien. Een prachtig programma over de roots van de Nederlandse popmuziek. De pioniers die de laatste jaren stelselmatig onderbelicht bleven bracht Derksen weer in de schijnwerpers. Een prachtige reeks met grote historische, nostalgische en musicologische waarde met ook nog eens geweldige muziek. Nu is er de verzamelbox met de muziek van de reeks op cd en daarbij alle afleveringen op dvd. Een niet te missen verzamelaar voor de echte Nederlandse pop-en rockliefhebber met goede smaak!
