DYLAN, BOB/JOHNNY CASH

De Country Music Hall Of Fame heeft een schitterende tentoonstelling over de twee mannen die aan de wieg stonden van de samensmelting van Rock en Country, en hun navolgers. Johnny Cash verdedigde de jonge Dylan in het vastgeroeste Nashville van begin jaren zestig, terwijl Dylan in 1965 tot ieders verbazing naar Nashville vertrok om daar Blonde On Blonde op te nemen. Uit die tijd komen ook de eerste nummers van deze dubbelaar, voor een ieder die niet in staat is om in Nashville het museum te bezoeken. Daarna volgen uiteraard The Byrds, The Beau Brummels en Neil Young, maar ook minder voor de hand liggende namen als Simon & Garfunkel (Jazeker mensen, da’s geen blaasinstrument in The Boxer, maar wel degelijk een pedal steel), Leonard Cohen en Paul McCartney’s Wings met Sally G. Leuke rarities van Derek & The Dominos (met Johnny Cash en Carl Perkins!), Kris Kristofferson en een niet eerder uitgebracht versie van If Not For You van Dylan zelf complementeren deze heerlijke collectie.
