Samen met de "Sacre" staat op dit album Stravinsky's "Chant Funèbre" centraal, een werk dat tot 2015 door iedereen als verloren werd beschouwd, maar dat bij restauratiewerkzaamheden in het oude conservatorium van St. Petersburg uit oude oud archieven opdook. Stravinsky (ook hij heeft gedacht dat het zoek was) had het stuk in 1908 als zijn opus 5 gecomponeerd ter nagedachtenis aan zijn leraar Rimsky-Korsakov. Vandaar dat Riccardo Chailly dit werk heeft geprogrammeerd samen met de opus-nummers 2, 3 en 4 (respectievelijk "Le Faune et la Bergére", "Scherzo fantastique" en "Feu d'artifice"), allen gecomponeerd door een nog jonge Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971). Dit in zijn spanningsopbouw opmerkelijk volwassen aandoende en fraai georkestreerde stuk komt onder Chailly's strakke directie prachtig transparant tot leven evenals de andere werken op deze CD.
