Deze box, waar de fans al reikhalzend naar uitkeken, is het chronologische vervolg op Archives Volume 1 en duikt diep in de periode voorafgaand aan Joni’s meesterwerk Blue, dat dit jaar zijn vijftigste verjaardag viert. Verspreid over 5 cd’s krijgen we bijna zes uur onuitgebrachte thuis-, studio- en live-opnames uit haar rijkgevulde kluis te horen. De nummers staan in chronologische volgorde, zodat we Mitchell in realtime kunnen volgen door een van de meest creatieve periodes van haar carrière. De collectie bevat verschillende niet eerder uitgebrachte liedjes, waaronder Jesus, opgenomen in 1969 in het appartement van haar vriendin Jane Lurie in New York in Chelsea, dat ook als decor diende voor Chelsea Morning. Andere hoogtepunten zijn een optreden in Ottawa uit 1968 en een concert in Londen uit 1970 dat werd uitgezonden door de BBC, waarin Joni enkele nummers samen met James Taylor zingt. Het begeleidende boek bevat veel foto’s en een interview met Cameron Crowe.
