Laurence Harvey stars in this 1960s crime drama directed by Carol Reed. Struggling for money, pilot Rex Black (Harvey) decides to fake his own death in order to cash in on his life insurance policy. After an acceptable time, Rex meets up with his wife and their new wealth in Spain, but when an insurance investigator shows up at their door, Rex goes on the run, determined not to be caught.
