Wayne Cochran was een van de wildste en extravagantste rockers uit de jaren ’60. Cochran’s vermaarde showmanschap heeft nooit in grote hits geresulteerd, maar de hier verzamelde opnamen voor labels als Mercury, Chess en King, geven een overtuigend idee van de wilde stijl waardoor club-bezoekers in heel Amerika massaal omgingen in de tweede helft van de ’60’s.
