Bowie's eerste album met Mick Ronson, The Man Who Sold The World werd onlangs 50 jaar en deze release staat in het teken van die verjaardag. In 2020 werd het oorspronkelijke album (met de bedoelde titel Metrobolist) al heruitgebracht, The Width Of A Circle vult de missende gaten op. Alle singles die niet op het album stonden, een BBC In Concert sessie, remixes en de muziek voor een tv-programma. Veel niet eerder verschenen werk of zeer lastig te vinden rarities maken deze compilatie een fraai overzicht van de groei die Bowie deze jaren doormaakte.

This stereo mix of the above remained unreleased until the reformatted reissue of the Sound & Vision box set in 2003, replacing the mono mix.
